Australian living in UAE hails the UAE fight against the spread of coronavirus

Elizabeth Donald, 35, An Australian living in UAE has revealed the extreme measures the city has taken to curb the spread of coronavirus, She also urged Australia to do the same.

UAE government has imposed an 8pm until 6am curfew and deploying drones to sanitize the streets.

In an attempt to curb the coronavirus pandemic, all residents are legally obliged to wear face masks every time they leave the house. 

She explained the nation has also grounded all its airlines for at least two weeks, despite having only 611 cases of COVID-19 and five deaths.

Ms Donald said that while the UAE was 'ahead of the curve', she worried Australia wasn't doing enough to stop the virus. 

'I can’t fly in or out at the moment. I know the tide will turn but it is very difficult being away from family,' she told the Daily Telegraph.
