2,000 Syrian fighters deployed to Libya by Turkey Govertment



Two thousand Syrian fighters have traveled from Turkey or will arrive imminently to fight on the battlefields of Libya, Syrian sources in all three countries have said, in an unprecedented development that threatens to further complicate the north African state’s intractable civil war.

The deployment came after Turkey agreed last month to come to the aid of the Libyan prime minister, Fayez al-Sarraj.

An initial deployment of 300 men from the second division of the Syrian National Army (SNA), an umbrella of Syrian rebel groups funded by Turkey, left Syria through the Hawar Kilis military border crossing on 24 December, followed by 350 more on 29 December.

They were then flown to Tripoli, the Libyan capital, where they have been posted to frontline positions in the east of the city.

After a year in which global business was buffeted by macroeconomic concerns and geopolitical factors, the outlook for 2020 is likely to be dominated by the very same considerations. Liverpool have rejected five-star hotel in Qatar as base for FIFA Club World Cup

Liverpool FC Champions League jubilation Liverpool have rejected a five-star hotel in Doha, Qatar, after discovering a number of human rights issues surrounding the spot. The Reds will go to the Middle East in December for the FIFA Club World Cup, a challenge they qualified for after winning the Champions League in June. They were offered the Marsa Malaz Kempinski, a luxury hotel on the artificial island of Pearl-Qatar, but turned down the option to stay there due to its dubious past, according to  The Athletic .
