Mail on Sunday wins first round against Duchess of Sussex

The Mail on Sunday has won the first round of a legal battle against the Duchess of #Sussex over the publication of a letter she wrote to her father. She is suing for breach of privacy and copyright infringement after articles reproduced parts of a letter she sent Thomas Markle. Mail on Sunday won its bid to have parts of Meghan's claim struck out. Judge Mr Justice Warby agreed and on Friday struck out parts of Meghan's claim, including her allegations the publisher acted "dishonestly" by leaving out certain parts of the letter.

Premier League clubs want to finish the 2019/20 season

Premier League clubs remain committed to finishing the 2019/20 season, but this will only be possible if 8-10 neutral venues are used to play the fixtures. The 'Project Restart' document was top of the agenda in the latest conference call on Friday, which all 20 clubs attended. June 12 was discussed as a potential return date but clubs will wait for the government to determine what happens next. A PL statement read: "At a meeting of Shareholders today, clubs discussed possible steps towards planning to resume the season when it is safe to do so.
